Beautiful weekend and lots of riding for the second Girlstorm
First ride at the Girlstorm - sun, perfect breeze and an HQ Predator 3.3 kite. Ahhhhhh.
Stormboarding is pleased to announce Girlstorm 2009 was a great success. Despite tough ice conditions we had 6 great women, unending sunshine, perfect breeze and lots of fun and riding.
About the Girlstorm...
This is a 2-day, women-only comprehensive weekend of snowkiting. Learn everything from safety and set-up to riding techniques to gear types and gear care. This is a fun and hands-on camp. Our first year was a great success with incredibly fun women from all over the Northeast. This is a great opportunity to learn at your own pace in a great learning environment. No yelling, lots of encouragement and no one will underestimate what you can do.
All snowkiting abilities are welcome from the never-evers to those ready to really get riding smoothly or those ready to learn to jump and take it all to the next level.
Stormboarding would like to say a huge thank you to Molly Savard for her excellent assistance and enthusiasm, Chris Krug for being generally helpful and an inspiration covering over 100 miles over the weekend, Curtis Savard for taking his reliably incredible photos and help as an anchor, Dakine for help with very stylie bags and beanies and to HQ Kites for making sure that the girls of this year's event were able to ride, whatever their size or experience level, on a stable, fun and forgiving kite.
